Rev. Chris Allen was saved in 1988, during the summer between his sophomore and junior years at Purdue University. Chris earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology in 1991. He worked in electronic manufacturing, engineering and sales roles over his twenty-four years in the secular work force. Chris and Jennifer were married in 1991.
In 2005, Chris followed a desire to be involved in full time ministry and relocated to Winona Lake, IN to pursue a seminary degree. In 2009, Chris became an ordained minister. In February 2010, Chris and his family moved to Remington to take on the role as Assistant to the Pastor. Chris quickly became involved in the preaching ministry, leading the teen group, and becoming co-camp pastor at Checkpoint Bible Camp (a summer camp at Camp Buffalo, IN). Chris began ministering at the local senior center by leading bi-monthly devotions and became a member of the Water Tower Days town festival board.
In September 2014, Chris left his secular career to become Heritage's full time Associate Pastor. Then in February 2016, Chris was promoted to serve as Heritage's Senior Pastor. Pastor Chris’ passion includes seeing the Church grow through the expository teaching of the Word, for believers to live holy lives, and for each of us to reach the lost for Jesus Christ.
The Allen’s have seven children; Rachel, Jessica, Natalie, Joshua, Samantha, Daniel and Rebekah.
