There is, perhaps no other ministry that is as exciting, challenging, and rewarding as that of being used to bring forth new local assemblies of believers. Whether leading a lost soul to Christ or teaching a hungry soul the truth of the Scriptures, church planting is truly frontline ministry. It requires God's harvesters to be fully prepared to do the work.

Midwest Church Extension is committed to the training of servants called of God into the ministry of planting churches. "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few." We never lack for fields in which to labor; we just need laborers for the fields! Come, and be equipped to join with us in fulfilling the Great Commission throughout the Midwestern United States.

Believing that strong foundations are essential to the successful planting of reproductive independent churches,  MCE Internships include an in depth exposure to MCE Strategic Planning, and the steps necessary to becoming an MCE Plant Leader.

Internships also entail formal discussions with the Pastor and/or MCE administrative staff regarding ministry in the
following areas:
• funeral planning
• wedding planning and pre-marriage counseling
• baptism service - will include a practice baptism, if circumstances allow
• parent/child dedication service planning
• church legal matters
• church administration matters, including and financial procedures In addition, our interns receive practical experience in the following ministry areas:

Opportunities for expositional pulpit ministry along with mentoring during the planning stages. The number of preaching opportunities will vary based on the length of the internship.

Assigned passages of Scripture, each to be taught to several different groups of people (Children, Jr. High, Sr. High, Adults) within the church setting.  The purpose being to train the intern to make application of the same Bible passage to all age levels.''
