MAROA: Harvest Community Church
Harvest Community Church - MaroaMaroa is a bedroom community north of Decatur IL. The church, just a few blocks off of Maroa's main street was originally organized on January 6, 1947, by a group of believers who saw the need to leave a denominational church. The early history of the church is one that is filled with significant ministry and growth. After a period of difficulty, however, the church became MCE's pilot replant ministry in 2006. It was given a new name and new structure, with an aim to recover and prepare this church, for a strong ministry impact in days ahead.
Dick and Linda Fellars came to the work in June 2012.  They have been involved in two previous church planting ministries, and most recently Dick has served on staff at Northland International University as an instructor of several church ministry courses. With this kind of expertise, we have great expectations of what God will do now at Maroa. MCE has immediate plans to begin immediate preparations for HCC to become a second training center for internships and residencies.
SUMMIT: Summit Bible Church
Summit, Illinois is a near western Chicago suburb of just over 10,000 people. Summit Bible Church has a long history in the area, having begun several decades ago as a remote Sunday School ministry outreach effort. In 2009, the church requested mission status with MCE to be replanted. Since that time, the church has ratified a new constitution, undergone a polity restructuring program, and is now starting the process of recovering its health.

The church has a very nice facility with seating for 200+ in the auditorium. Presently, about 25 households are part of this church.

Billy Dammala was been called to provide leadership for this church after the sudden death of its previous pastor.  Pastor Lee Selin suffered a brain hemorrhage in April 2011.  Pastor Dammala was to have begun his ministry in March 2012.  On February 27, Pastor Dammala suffered a brain hemorrhage.  MCE has currently re-initiated a search for a plant leader for this work.

Updates on Billy's condition can be otained by contacting MCE.
