MCESP - SAVE ME is an overview of Midwest Church Extension's approach to strategic master planning.  It is the basic template for the process of church planting which is used by MCE.

OSCEOLA: Calvary Bible Church
Calvary Bible Osceola
Located on Interstate 35, just 50 miles south of Des Moines and 50 miles north of the Missouri line, Osceola is the county seat for Clarke County. Osceola is home to approximately 4800 of the county’s 9100 residents. There is a significant percentage of Hispanic people in Osceola. The area is experiencing some growth presently, due to a sizeable casino that exists just outside of town along the interstate. Wal-Mart opened a store in town in March 2008.

Calvary Bible Church was established in 1948 when a group of believers recognized the need to have a church that stood strong in the Word of God and its principles. It was brought about when the United Methodists determined that there wasn’t room in town for two Methodist churches and so the domination slated one of them for closing. That congregation separated from the denomination at that point and formed an independent church. Over the years God's faithfulness has allowed the church to carry on ministry and support men and women in various different ministries, including pastors, teachers and missionaries serving across America and around the world.  The church joined the MCE family as a replant in 2008.

The church building is located on Route 69 just a few miles North of the city of Osceola. It sits on a few acres of ground and is well maintained with a seating capacity in the auditorium of around 100 people. The building is free and clear and has a full basement with space for SundayFloyd Family School classes, nursery, fellowship / dinner area.

Pastor Matt Floyd has been the plant pastor since July 2009.  Matt was raised in a Christian home where his dad was also is a pastor. He is a 2000 graduate of Dayspring Bible College.  After college, he served on staff in many capacities with the Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church and Victory In Grace Ministries for over 15 years.  His various roles included being a Sunday School teacher for the youth and adults, Christian school teacher and supervisor, song leading, prison ministry for juveniles and adult inmates, administration, head pressman, TV camera operator, horseback riding instructor, and many other ministries. He has had the privilege of travelling extensively on mission trips to Belarus, India, Thailand, Mexico, and Israel.

Matt's wife, Jen, is also a graduate of Dayspring Bible College.  She taught in the
Quentin Road Christian Preschool for 10 years.  The Floyds have two girls, Alyssa, and Courtney.
